I'm up $130 on 6 trades with a 100% success rate. Not bad imo but could be better.

I woke up early and made about $70 during pre-market hrs. Stayed on the sidelines at the open b/c was unsure what the direction was gonna be. Manged to enter a short half-way down, but put in a tight stop order as a test to see if it would get hit and reverse. And it did, but the order hit at a one tick profit. Found out there are programs that will try to trigger those stops. Then made two more trades that were bad, but ended successfully.

Overall today felt boring. A few weeks earlier I would've felt anxious, but today I didn't feel much of anything. I think it's a side effect from the sleeping pills I've been taking. Health websites are saying not to take them.

It looks like the YM won't be doing much for the rest of the day. I got a doctor's appointment to go to anyways. The one from last week got cancel. Bye and good luck.

Having a short bias wasn't a problem today because I only took with-trend short signals. Ironically the two counter-trend short signals I "almost" traded but talked myself out of were two of the biggest moves of the day.

Nodoji, I apologize if I am prying, but do you rank your signals by strength? Because I've seen you mention on a couple of other threads how you skip signals, and I was just wondering, if a signal is a signal, how do you decide which to take or pass?

Oh, and seeing as this is a P/L thread, I managed to eke out 2.50 pts on the ES today. I find it easier to scale up if I keep track of my results in pts rather than $.

Hi Nic, this is a blotter-only thread, but I can't PM you, so hopefully the post will stay long enough for you to read it.

Pure counter-trend is very discretionary for me, but I'm really good at it and will trade it as long as a specific condition isn't in play and in this case it was. Thing is, the risk on the trade was so small, it was really silly of me not to trade it. The second counter-trend signal was much better, but I waited way too long for confirmation, and when I finally got into the trade it was deep into the move and never made it to target.

As for trading every signal, I have this annoying habit of thinking while trading. The goal of my 1-lot challenge (courtesy of Schizo) is to trade at least 70% of my signals each day, at which point I'll be sizing up and posting numbers like Red_Ink :D

thanks for the answer, Nodoji. Didnt realize we were not supposed to have discussions here!

Taking every signal is something i'm working on too - i know in the long term, its the only way i can trade comfortably in size. One way I try which is effective is to grit my teeth and tell myself to take the next 20 signals no matter what, and then I can have "fun" and trade however I want after that heh.

I did a very bad bad bad thing today.

I am up $455 on 3 trades. First trade just lost only 10. Next trade, I was expecting a big crash but shorted too early. Then I average down with a second lot as price was still moving up. Luckily it worked, the crash happened, and I rode the trend down and managed to get out near the low.

My trading this morning could've been better but at least I made something. I need to stop taking high risk entries. I think subconsciously I'm taking risky trades out of boredom from watching price action. It's like I'm trying to sabotage myself.

Anyways, I'm happy with what I already got so I'm quitting for the day. Bye and good luck everyone.

Left as many ticks CL on the table as I captured between a couple of those trades. Damn that thing can run!

In 11 trading days your account increased over 450% since you touched the bottom on July 27th (about $360?) . That is quite a record.
