I'm thankful for ending the week positive. Hard day when starting out with 2 losing trades, first. 1. X puts - stopped out on time/duration 2. X puts - chased entry (bad move) and stopped out on $ loss. I had to override my system (based on indicators) as it was still a hold. Very good thing I did. 3. AMZN calls - just waited for an entry/pullback. Got the pullback, but the entry was chased as when the indices started to move, AMZN moved up just as fast (or even faster). Market indices pullback dictated the exit. A lot of money left on the table as of right now (market still open at the time of this post), but not before giving most of the profits, first. Nature of the beast and I would still close it given the same scenario.
Up $45 on 11 trades. Was down $80 initially from some bad trades. Also made a couple of good trades with decent profits but didn't exit when should have. Still have some morning fog and can't trade well in this condition, so I'm quitting early again.
Not good... First trade was right, but got shaken out. Second trade was wrong (was expecting a pullback instead of a grind/strength into the close)
Today was a crazy day. Either I'm cursed or today was a good lesson on being patient. Almost got wiped out today. Ended up $5 on four trades. Got trapped into a long position during the morning and hold onto it on the way down. At the very low, I was down about 50% or $350. I stopped thinking about my loss and focus entirely on where I think it was going. My indicators were telling me it was going up soon as the price was falling. I was close to selling near the low, and luckily I didn't as it reversed. I ended up exiting that long position at a small loss from my entry and went short. The short position worked out and I decided to just take the profit and called it a day as the whole experience was emotionally draining. Today was one big lesson on what not to do, keeping your emotion in check, being patient, and trusting your analysis.
Should have quit when I was ahead. I misread the eod, again. Got stopped out at the worst loss on the AMZN position. It hurts to see I could have closed it for a small loss or even break-even some time after.
OH NOOOO!!!!! I LOST IT ALL TODAY. Ha ha. j/k. I'm up $75 on 9 trades. 1st trade was a mistake but lost only $35. The rest were half winners and half losers. The losers were mostly right on direction but stops keep getting hit and reversing. (I'm getting more and more suspicious that my stops are being hit on purpose.) Also, missed two good move because my order didn't get filled. I think the YM is position to rally later in the afternoon, but I couldn't sleep well last night and don't want to spend any more time watching the screen.
Small loss... Doubted myself on a (profitable) POT put trade and missed it... I'm starting to think this BIDU put trade was a forced trade just to get in a trade. I was actually starting to doze off. In hindsight, I definitely should have just slept it off and not trade.
