  1. lost about $10 and two hours with IB tech support trying to get IB book trader to work correctly. It will not let me hit bids or asks only post liquidity. Fine for most of my trading but when I wanted to get out of IAR I became tired of "invalid order" really fast. IB says its because I am using directed and not smart but I have no idea why that should matter, my bid/ask should just get placed at that spot IMHO.

    +22 for the day
    - 6092 for the week
    - 3931 for the month
    + 6476 for the year

  5. yesterday's emini tally:
    http://elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=118533

Today I was up +14pts ES by noon. From noon until 3pm est the ES range was 1335 ~ 1329... 6pts up & down. We've had larger 1min candles alone than that, hundreds of times in the past six months.

Kept shorting the 1330ish level late afternoon, gave stops extra room to work outside of choppy noise, got hit with pars and -1pt outs. Last trade stopped for -1pt ES around 3:30pm which left me with +10pts gain, and I shut it down.

That was just before the moonshot squeeze from out of the blue, which I had no intention of chasing anyway. Saw a couple of long signals at 1334 and 1339, no way to know it would push 1357 by closing bell.

Catching such extreme moves is always fun, but no career is ever built upon those outlyers. That's just the gambling side of trading... satisfying and rewarding, but not consistently duplicatable.

Grinding out +4pts, +8pts, +10pts and +20pts ES per session is how we build our trading business careers :)
