well.....I guess this is it for 2008. after busting thru 6 figures in 2007 after 3 years of learning to trade, I'd have to say 2008 was not as successful.......I was well on pace to break 100k, but then ended up being flat for sept-december......thx to the financial debacle. I wasn't man enough to hold the winners during that stretch.......but was greedy enough to hold losers(can't even remember how many days I was down over 10k). anyway, I've learned alot, and have been sticking to the rules better lately. I wonder if some of you folks posting those big annual gains could post the size trading account that was earned on, or possibly the % you gained on the year. I have limited myself to a $60K trading account over the past couple months in order to enforce small size and discipline and wonder if it's possible to generate a reasonable living off that.
Well i dont feel comfortable posting my numbers for 2008, but I did do better than last year, and I did meet a lot of my non monetary goals. 2009 almost undoubtedly be a smaller year than 2008, but thats ok, its been an incredible year, and im very lucky to have health, youth, and now, some money. Thanks to everyone again who is there for me on a daily basis, and when i need them, especially the ATS family. Good luck in 2009.
sorry i'm late (my apologies szeven )... it was a bad day, again...felt frustated because lsi traded in a rage of 1 cent for more than half a day...anyways, hope for less and less days like this...my 2nd month as a prop trader (trainee) ended-up with mixed results... -$25.48... on a personal note, i'm glad i found this site where a learnt and read a lot...and when i say a lot, i meant it...i wish you all a happy new year and 2009 to be better under all aspects... and...just drink, don't drive... ...

I was there watching the prices when the cash closed and the ES was in a "FAST" mkt right after the CASH closed.
