<i>"Nice job, Austin. How many points ES did you net per?"</i> +25pts from entry to exit on varying contract size... 5 to 20 contracts as the day wore on. Many went +4pts ~ +6pts and back out for modest gain or sometimes par in the deep v-turns. Missed out on all of the drop past 10:30am est into afternoon lows. Most of the gains logged came inside the afternoon ramp which was expected but very staccato. TF was much straighter as usual, but the bid/ask spread and price action thru signals was frightening. In all reality, the tape is a bit too wild for really big gains. Could have logged 50k or more with the exact-same entries if whipsaw pullbacks didn't whack many good stops. Last exit was 1039.00 pullback on a trail from 1045 for +8pts from entry... just before it popped another +10pts, +20pts, +30pts sequential up from there. Tapes calm down a bit, pullbacks shallow out, things will get much easier. Eminis were the wild, wild west today. This is way too much like work right now.
I'm still a trainee day trader, and today I managed to stop out within a half hour of trading - I think its an office record. I also managed to short every bottom and long every top - I love this job! Executions and P/L attached.
Day 11: Had a great day, accidently entred a trade with double then the inteded size and, to my fortune, was one of my best trades which led me to my second best day in a mere 30 seconds, so decided to paper trade for the rest of the day and continued to do well. Real: +40.8 on 100 shares, one trade. Paper: +507 on 3k shares.
