Trader P/L 2007

well done once again,Chauncy..................keep `em coming...it`s nice to see another futs trader here......your` #`s are inspiring & if someone chooses to blow up tomorrow from lack of discipline or dillusions of grandeur ,then so be it.

 

I didn't ask you for advice, so keep it to yourself. I was asking him a question, because I'm curious if this is normal for him or it's a hot streak. I've been trading quite a while, I'm certainly not going to go out and try to make $60K tomorrow because he did, don't worry about me .

 

Well. I have to say thanks for your comments.

First of all I want to say that my intention is just place the P/L because I feel proud of what I accomplished (for instance, today) and I want to share with others the result but from the anonymity, so is no such thing as “bragging” because none really knows me. (outside of this anonymous forums I don’t tell anyone my P/L because I think is pretty dangerous)

In addition, keep the P/L in a folder or journal can be some sort of motivation to keep up the hard work.

I don’t want to insult other people’s work with such numbers, so if anyone feels this way I prefer to keep me away from posting. (I haven’t traded this amounts all my life of course, once I traded 1 contract like any newbie).

I don’t want to encourage other people to trade with leverage. You guys can check my posts on other threads and you’ll find out how much I respect the market and what the market can do to yourself.

Finally I want to add that I don’t wake up on the morning thinking that I’m going to made 60k, 80k or 120k. I just try to win anything preventing me from losing, then, if the situation its good I try my best, fortunately the crude its doing great swings this days while the equity indexes is not doing anything (according to the volatility I expect).

 

Regarding if it is a hot streak. Well you can call it a hot streak as i haven't a losing day since the monday after thanksgiving (when i lost nearly 100k..yea.. i didn't expect that selloff that day).
Anyway more days you win in a row more you have to be careful...
I don't have days over 20k as normal i usually have 2-3 days like this during the month, this usually happens when we have swings like we had on CL today (or Jan-3 on ES) , but yes, i usually have days with P/L between 5k and 20k as normal.

 

Thanks for sharing that. Yes, I would call that a "hot streak"
