  1. I only post net P&L (what I take home).

FWIW, I trade prop, 300K BP, hardly ever go over 100K at any given time. Trade bewteen 400-1500 shares per position.

  3. we've been over this before. BP doesn't matter because:

1.) $1 = $1 no matter how much BP you have. You can't spend %

    and

2.) some props have virtually unlimited BP, some retailers don't use 100% of their BP; I'm assuming you want to know BP because you want to know how much is at risk, right? More important would be max share size per position

I'm not trading today - not feeling 100%

I agree, buying power is meaningless because if you are at a prop or pro shop, you generally don't worry about it, you just worry about trading.

To me, I have way more bp than I'd ever use, meaning I just take every good trade I see and size relative to how much risk I feel i'm taking.

The only useful # to put things in perspective would be how much equity someone has in their account, and not many are likely to share that.

  7. well, i lied - didn't feel 100%, but who cares!

    $148 on 15,800 shares

really excellent trades today - I was smart most of the time. I played each trade extremely cautiously, but I got angry on my BRCM short and stepped up my share size to 1000 from 400. Would have been stupid, but I didn't FEEL like it was any more dangerous for some reason. The 3 trades that followed were executed with the same amount of caution as the previous ones, and I ended up making some dough!

Too bad school starts again on monday :'(

  9. I consider the day a small sucess, although obviously the end total sucks. Managed to take a $1000 loss early and was down 750 only to come back and make a new high, but i got dicked around near the close on total specialist bullshit and tada, thats my story.
