  1. Got caught in a few low volume garbage trades. Hard to recover from those. Plus the closing imbalances were the biggest garbage I have ever seen for a year end.

    Here's to a good 2007.

  5. Thought you guys might get a kick out of this - life of a trader on a split.

    Total earnings for 2006 - 284,000

But the all important = Who got what.

    Invovled parties are many.

    284,000 - Total earnings
    48000 - Swift Head Office
    48000 - Swift Branch Manager
28000 - Title Trading Head office

160000 - Me. Minus quite a bit of expenses.

Net I estimate in my pocket of about 140000.

I would be very happy if I could do that again next year, anything over 200k I will consider a raging success.

Congrats lescor, that is crazy money. My non trader friends make 10-30k a year, and to make money like that (even 200k+) is a far off dream.

  6. Here it is (Friday)...

Total for the week: $800 Approx

Total for the month: $190 with interest, very poor month. Few reasons including the birth on my son. I trade the graveyard shift from here, and routine sleep is a major problem ie being fully alert and having your wits come trading (1am) :D

Its been 12 months trading futures

Total for the year $690 wow.
    Total since August : $ 9730

Totals include account interest and are approximate.

Well there goes 2006, I feel I have made some huge progress, even within the last month, would you believe. Yet some basic problems that existed at the start of the year, still dog me and severely limit my profits. One thing I do know, the last 5 months trading results will pale into insignificance come 2007's results.

I would like to see more novice traders post their results, just to give others an idea and show the reality of starting trading.

Have a great new year and what a start its going to be in 2007. FOMC the first day and Payrolls the 3rd day. A pop and a flop :D

    Lets start the 2007 journal.

[EDIT BY MAGNA:]The new 2007 P/L thread has begun...
