little pissed at the moment....3 times our system froze and two of those times killed me for a total of 850 bucks but managed to come back and turned it into a decent day.....well for me anyway.... funny how coming back from negative yesturday and only makin 200 feels way better than makin 800 but feelin fooked over by the system! oh well...still happy with 800 Oh ya....and that is a f#$@kin excuse!

brutal.....S&P starts sellin off like crazy....i start gettin wet with excitement....short 20k of intc at the 19.40's.....tell myself gonna hold this trade till im rich......then out of nowhere massive buying pressure pushes the stock up almost though th 19.43's.....i hold cause the S&P is selling of like its a leper and nobody wants anything to do with it....intc backs down to the 40's....buying pressure again...back to th 43's.....slowly drops to the 40's again....i get out part on the 40's part on the 41's.....then like a retard I tell myself obvioulsy people want to buy the stock today so join the mob....i but 20k of the 42's...it goes up to the 43's one more time....i hold for the 44's.....dont get them cause the buyers all wake up to the market tanking and the selling begins....i get killed......... how many times does this have to happen before i stop being an idiot and quit this god damned buying on down days........
lol..well first of all i never said i was a good trader and second....it wasnt that it moved 2 pennies...its how and when it moved those two pennies that shook me........any other day when the S&P takes a dive like it did intc drops with it.....so when the S&P has a big sell off and people start buying INTC they way they were when they should have been selling ......ya it shakes me off my short mentality...cause i have seen those two cent moves turn into 10 cent moves in about 4 seconds....and as a day trader (or how i trade as a day trader) i live or die by the penny...and today i died also has to do with the fact i was trading 20k shares at a time and ten cents against me is -2k.....that would be bad
if i was a regular trader i would......but as a BM i cant be classified as a regular trader due to Swifttrade regulations and am actually classified as a trainee...and the highest stop out i can get is 300\500.......(dont ask me why....i dont make the rules...just have to play by them) so i have adapted my trading to the lower stop out and only trade big size when i am really really sure about a trade....lol...and i was really really reallly sure intc was gonna tank this morning....and i was right.....but got shook rattled and rolled like a punk right before it dropped
Guys, Let's try to stay away from strategy discussions as they tend to spiral out of control very quickly, and generally get into the personal realm post haste. Also, it makes this very large thread unwieldy and tougher to navigate. This is especially true for those who aren't regular participants and don't post their blotters here, but feel the compelling need to jump in, ask questions (that could easily be done via PM), or offer "friendly" advice. no blotter today, wasnt thinking and logged out and couldnt get back in due to being stopped out, but the end was a nice -600 damn you bsx damn you. at least there is tomorrow.
