has been tough for me too in the past couple of months...many of my favourite setups just dont pan out and the churn did a lot of damage to my pnl, no question...mkt is very undecided and there's a inherent lack of direction which is a killer for all of my strategies. begun to make outrageous numbers of daily trades and sure didnt help improve things..hope this shit turns around quick otherwise am cooked.
For the prop traders, do all of you sit in one area? can't someone next to you figure out what you're doing and what indicators you are using and steal some of your strategies? Granted that your trading skill cannot be stolen.
Hey....well im not to sure why there is all that negativity towards the pnl thead and whether or not the numbers are real.....my numbers have always been real and i know 5-6 other people personally who post on there that i know their numbers are real as well......and i have posted my fair share of losing days....lol...more than my fair share actually....but i will admit i dont always post every losing day.....its like going out on a date with an ugly chick....do you brag about that as much as when you are out on a date with a hot chick? And i dont even really care if RM and nysekiller's numbers are legit...i do beleive they are but even if they arent i use them to drive myself to get better.....if someone out there can make 100k a day in the markets then there aint no reason why i cant too....and even if they are bullshittin me....well who will have the last laugh when i am pullin in 100k a day because they drove me to get better! just my two bits
I have a question for guys like Steve T, RM, RedInk etc... Are the numbers you guys post "net" after all commissions and fees? From what I can see some of you guys look to be paying under .002/share.
RM or Steve T - without giving away your edge can you answer the following? Do you start the day with orders entered b4 the opening? Do you have a long or short bias at start of day? If so, do you usually trade from the long or short side most of the day, or do you trade both sides? What is the normal number of times you r/t any one stock? Do you think you can push a stock? If so, do you push as part of your daily strategy? Thanks in advance if you can answer. Wayne
