You guys that pay per ticket. Can you mix and match and opt for per ticket or per share depending on the stock or strategy? Also, on pass thru you get the whole rebate?

  3. i have 2 accounts at my firm.. one with per ticket pricing, and one per share. i just toggle back and forth on the same platform with a pulldown menu. the layout and everything else stays the same.

  4. do you have the next LU for us yet? :)

that was a nice ride while it lasted.. especially the penny to 2 penny price improvement on those opening prints. the 100,000 share block, 5 second flips had me going back to bed at 9:31.

damn i wish i had been all over that stock sooner. :(

  9. Am I understanding this right, you guys would buy a huge lot at the opening print, usually getting 1-2 cent price improvement, and then either offering out or getting out by the ECNs right away?

Why was this only unique to LU?

  10. yup, except i wouldn't always have to offer out. 3 times outta 5, the inside ECN would be a penny higher than my NYSE price-improved fill. i'd have my finger on the trigger ready to slam my shares on top of him immediately after i got my fill, and before he had the time to pull his bid.

occasionally i'd have to sit my shares on the inside offer, and que myself up to drop my offer a penny to breakeven if the momentum shifted and i wasn't able to make the penny spread.

LU was the only stock thick enough (that i tried) that i could dump 100,000 shares @ breakeven if i had to. NT (before the reverse split) could only take about 10,000, and wouldn't be worth the trouble.
