Spot on. I make a hellofa lot of good trades, with a nice win %, automated, but if I posted them before or after the fact it would be fairly simple (for an experienced trader) to find out most of what I was doing. I don't care what anybody sez, posting your exact trades and or methodology is darn foolish if you value your work. At least for short term trading with black/white rules. Saying you buy undervalued stocks with rising earnings when they are forming a cup and handle, blah, blah, blah, is no threat of course... Good trading to all.
Hey jerkoff, next time do a search. I clearly stated in other threads I simply got burned and lost the passion back in Aug 05. Once that happens, it's never the same. Once you find yourself forcing to wake up to get to the office to trade as if its a regular 9-5 job, it's a whole nother story. When it comes to the point that after a down day you don't want to go back to trade for almost a week or two, you simply have to face the fact that the passion & motivation is gone. When you don't even have the desire to put in more than 20 hours a weeks, I think you have to face the fact that your drive for the job is gone. But then, you would not know anything about that because it's way apparent you do not daytrade nor have much of the idea of what Im talking about. Because when the truth is told without sugarcoating you feel like it's ruining somebody's day. Just because you are either gullible enough or simply lacking the knowledge to see through the P&L thread, particularly the nysekiller fiasco, does not give you any credible base to call me a fraud.
No problem, I have the perfect solution for you. I'll sit beside you and copy everything you do until I make the same amount as you per day. Then I'll double your share size and make twice as much. You can then retire at home and ill send you a cheque for half the profits each month. Deal?
WOW, this is the reason why I haven't even been on ET that much lately not even to see how others are doing in the P/l thread but it was brought to my attention that this bashing has been going on. All I have to say is congrats to RM who got his fan base back again, it must have really sucked to have someone come in and take the spot light from you. The rest of you on here are most of the people I got pm's from asking all kinds of questions and as soon as the great and all knowing RM says something then everyone has balls to challenge my numbers. It doesn't matter to me what anyone on this site thinks that fact of the matter is I am making money not this 50k to 100k you all think but its still more then the average poster on this site does. As for billybobnasdaq I guess your the only one that can trade 10mm plus of a stock, I was trading that stock all day and was making it my bitch and you are not able to see what I paid in fees. I was going to think of someway to prove myself and my numbers, but what the fuck is the point no one's opinion is going to help me progress as a trader. The way I trade now can be done on longer time frames, i'm using a market neutral system that is automated just to give you an idea and that is how I've done what I've done. Think outside of the box, there is alot more to trading then buying low and selling high, I have just been lucky maybe to notice a pattern thats it. Now I will let you all use up another 30 pages on this thread and hours of your time bashing this comment, but I got shit to do. "First thing I wanted to know, what's the reason he was dead? "More money, more problems, better believe it," he said "Careful what you wish for you might receive it," he said I see I said, jealousy I said Got the whole industry mad at me I said Then B.I. said, "Hov' remind yourself nobody built like you, you designed yourself" I agree I said, my one of a kind self Get stoned every day like Jesus did What he said, I said, has been said before "Just keep doin your thing," he said, say no more" -Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter
Hydro, how long had you been actively trading before you lost your drive, and would you consider your personality to be competitive? Trading actively is such a high intensity thing much like pro sports. Once you find it's taking more from you than it's giving back it's over. Lose your drive to push yourself and you're done. Look no further than former NFL running back Barry Sanders, he walked away at the height of his career because he simply couldn't bring himself to do it anymore. Personally, one of the things that really drives me is when I smack MLCO off the offer and sell the shares higher. Then pump my fist and do my happy dance. The day that doesn't do it for me, I know it'll be over. Good luck to you.
So are you saying that you, indeed, lied and did not make the kind of $$$ that your "blotters" showed? This is what I got from this line, please correct me if this is not what you meant.
'killer, I really don't understand why you'd be angry at anyone here. You made the choice to post fake numbers, and you knew you'd be exposed eventually, just like Franz was. Can you blame me for taking the minimal amount of effort required to verify your fraud as a fact? It's not like I had to spend hours investigating- the answers fell right into my lap while I was already engaged in conversations with Echo/Sterling management over completely unrelated issues. You might be thinking of ways to 'get even' with me.. but why? Once I knew your numbers were fake, was I supposed to keep it to myself? Did I do anything you wouldn't have done in my place? Your numbers were never a threat to me in any way. I already know I'm not Michael Jordan. I was never the #1 trader in the world, and I probably never will be. Deception & lies annoy me, so I set the record straight. That's all. I knew you were lying from the moment you posted your Ford trade, but I didn't say a word until I knew it for a fact. If you want a sliver of respect back- take it. Take it by unambiguously admitting how you posted Sterling demo numbers as if they were real. Tell us why you chose to deceive everyone. Then, come back in a few weeks under a different name, and post your honest experiences. You think I don't already know that you're an above average trader? I've known that all along, from the way you display zero piker-think in your messages. However, I also knew that you don't put up anything close to six figure days. Maybe you will one day, but reaching that goal will be much easier for you by being honest with others, and more importantly; honest with yourself.
ah second place for silver has been disqualified, in due time.. I'm eyeing that position. I was begining to feel slightly awkward a 12 month trader is pulling in millions a year.
I'll send you a PM cause we're going off topic. I'm not asking for attention here so I feel that there is no need to go into a discussion and take away focus from the very intriguing nysekiller vs Rearden Metal saga. BTW, nysekiller, I highly suggest you make a new nick cause you're wasting your time trying to defend yourself with that twisted logic. I originally thought you were doing that P&L nonsense as a joke just to see who is gullible enough to believe it but you have proved me wrong.
