  2. DT LOL. I know it sure is not me, but the filter and market climate. learning how to fade moves, when the market climate changes in the coming months fading moves is going to be the next big thing to learn and get comfortable with.

I created a basic 25% pullback from highs filter as well, whereby I put out alerts above the pullback looking for the trend to resume, and a target back to recent highs. i had a few nice trades there today.

  3. I had fade on URBN today. I saw it come across new lows on the 40+. But it was at a support level and market was going so I bought it and had a nice bounce. One of the beautiful things about this style is that you can create a window for anything you want you just have to use your imagination. When I design a window I like to picture a chart in my head first and kind of work backwords from there not trying to get too painted into a corner. Just general stuff like strong for the year, and the day and above X, Y, or Z. Technology is getting pretty cool.

I have been using DT 40 plus up and 40 plus down, starting at count of 20....to give me time to load stock symbols. I load all in java charts.

I use in in conjuction with top 20percent up and top 20 percent down, at 600000 volume and 2.2 current volume, with running down and running up and 1 minute high and low.

Using the filters in conjunction with dt 40 plus/40 minus eliminates alot of noise, and pretty much I see all the same stocks in both fields.

For what it is worth....the running down and runnning up many times.....act as contrarian indicators to how the 40 plus or 40 minus is going to act....especially if market stalls or reverses.....it is uncanny how well it works.

My charts are phophet net java charts, and I use trade ideas with medved and my broker mb trading....very fast execution.

I have been trading for 6 years......and dt 40 with trade ideas is a real winner, at least for me

Just thought I would introduce myself

In reading that post....wanted to clarify....the filter is top 20 percent up and down, and bottom 20 percent up and down, so you are looking at bottom 20 percent of weakest stocks going up or down or top 20 percent of stocks going up or down.....tying this into 40 plus alerts at new highs and 40 plus alerts at new lows

    Sorry for the confusion.

  6. Thanks for all the compliments. It is cool to share strategies with other profitable traders and other T.I. users.

I am reading this thread with interest regarding Diamond TRim filter 40. I had problem to follow the link which was posted before. It just brings me to Trade Ideas with blank page and a button for manual refresh. I am not a subscriber yet to Trade Idea. Can I still see the description and can anybody post the link or tell a bit about the setups?
    Thanks

  8. you may not be looking at the links in MS Explorer - sounds like Firefox or something else. MS Explorer is what's needed. Or get a trial and download the Pro version which doesnt require a browser at all.

    trade-ideas.com
    then Download Now link

  10. +59 today. Suffered a 35 cent loss on D at the open on a shit ass specialist fill. Stock opened by 9:31, and the shares appeared in my blotter at 9:39. Our manager called ISI but they said it was a fair fill at the open price and that there was a problem at the open and thats why it was delayed on the fill. Naturally i thought this was bullshit and after freaking out for a few minutes I tried to pull the day together without much luck.
