  1. Hi MK
enjoy your posts and this thread has been a great motvator.

    A little Off TOPIC
    QUESTION

Why would someone like your self and your income level
buy Real Estate investments for all cash??( you mentioned this some time ago).
The economics of it makes no sense .
This in no way be taken as a criticism .But there are no sound reasons do this.
    cheers
    john

  2. i recovered from that $1,100 hit and was actually up a little over $200 at that 1 o'clock spike. then the bottom just fell outta both BSC and GS and my fate was sealed. my puts are all in the money, so today's equity loss minus option gain is only $145.

MSFT, the Q's largest component, disappointed so that's gonna hit me tomorrow.

the truth or reality of mk's posts is less important than the perception of his posts. he will be the only one who knows if what he posts is true and accurate. he has offered to send trade reports and so forth, but that still wouldn't satisfy everyone.

regarding when he stops, if he does trade LU the way he has indicated, he probably knows when it's best to let it simmer; no need to churn his account during low-vol doldrums. also, if he's making 5-10k per day, taking time off probably helps keep him in the game. but i'm only guessing ...

bottom line is he posts what people want to see - regular you-and-me's on ET making great trades and a handsome income via trading and still willing to slum with the rest of the herd. who doesn't want that? he gives that to the readers. look at the stats on this thread. a LOT of people (over 78k) read this thread even though the OP seldom contributes and the thread is only about 45-days old.

some people don't care about mk's posts. some don't care if they are true. some want to challenge, refute, or just disbelieve his posts. and some want to be inspired. everybody gets something out of it.

personally, i'm less interested in his direct posts than those from members who draw inspiration from him - that's the interesting aspect for me.

but, as another poster stated, everybody will draw their own conclusions. like anything else, people get what they want from mk and from software1. both will continue to do what they do.

    take care -

    omni

BTW: TF, i wasn't directing this post at you or anyone specifically. :)

  4. Just cause he averages 5k a day on one of the top volume stocks on the NYSE people doubt him??? That's pathetic... it just proves how many people out there aren't making money. Why would he go through the trouble of providing fake numbers??? To those who doubt him... i hope u guys know that there are traders out there making way more than MK.. so wat do u say to those ppl... that they are lying??

    Pathetic.

lol i know equity traders doing 10k a day pretty consistently, having the occasional 25-50k day. i know a bond futures guy doing 75-150k a day, on average. 5k a day isn't anything extraordinary - it's very good though, better than me :)

  6. I have so soon realized that begrudging my best efforts to show those that have asked (my trade reports, time and sales, trade executions, who I trade with and my first born) whatver I do or say here will always be challenged by those that are either jealous of success or have nothing better to do. My posts and blotters are meant to inspire traders to doing better with their trading methods or profits. My posts are meant to be inviting towards examination by those that want to ask questions. I HAVE always taken the time to answer every question that was asked of me. I HAVE always taken time to answer every PM that was sent to me. I even went as far as to send some of you my trading executions for a few days. Now whether you believe me or not on my blotters is for you to decide. Perhaps you think that it is impossible to make money day in and day out. I challenge you to think outside the box, could my strategy have been so ironclad to allow me to limit my losses. If many of you took the time to trade one stock, every day, day in and day out, and watch it tick by tick, you could learn so much about that stock that you can trade it by "feel". We all have different strategies that we use to make money everyday, mine obviously is alot different than most, but it is not unimaginable that I do trade the way I do. I have told everyone here, my volume on LU can be confirmed by the guys at OES. I told you guys I trade at mastertrader. I even told you guys that I would be at the NYC show! for those that are doubters, you will always be at my neck, knarling and arguing this and that. Short of letting you have the login and password of my realtick account I dont know how to go to show you naysayers that my numbers are in fact true. Perhaps, with regret, in some of my posts they might of seemed brandish, or in vain, but they were never meant that way for that is not the person that I am. In the end you can make a decision of whether on my blotters they are true or if you believe otherwise. The whole purpose of this thread is to "inspire each other through our P&L daily." I am sure that I have helped many people here with the questions that I have answered THAT I TOOK TIME TO DO. Most people would care less, but I put the time in because my ambition is to help other traders who so desire it. Perhaps if there was a trading challenge and our results were made public then you would perhaps change your opinions? But until that day comes you will argue this and that, in the end, to make YOURSELVES FEEL BETTER.

  7. i agree. whether someone makes alotta money or not is always relative to the speaker. while $5,000 is a lot to most people, especially to someone with a 5 or low 6 figure account, it's not a lot to someone with a 7 figure account.

if find your niche, and have the financial means to exploit it, more power to you.

  9. Appleseed,
    to answer your realestate question:

It is much easier to offer a seller a cash deal and quick closing rather than a full offer with a loan. With realestate like it is in my town, if you show the seller the money, then most of the time you can beat someone out with a higher bid, because you will be closing soon and they get their checks quicker. You can always refi the investment and pull cash out if you need to.

  10. Not true.. in order to refi the title of the home needs to seasoned atleast 1 year to get cash out.
