  1. Today, my fill was 25 BP better than I would have gotten on the E-mini, Fridays fill was 20 BP better than the emini. So far, the pit traded contract is proving superior on the fills. Not enough data yet, to make a decision one way or the other!

  2. Vikana,
    Thank you for the kind comments. I do get pissed on days like this. I should of been up 6k instead of 2k, but because I was boneheaded this morning it cost me some money. I guess after a couple of years of day in and day out making some nice money you come to expect a better performance than what I had today. I by no means think that a 2k day is bad, nor a 1k day, but considering what I can do it lacks on the nominal side. To sit here like I did this morning and piss away some money ticks me off when you think about what I could of been doing that was a lot more fun than this. I guess that is where I am in my life right now. My priorities are changing weekly, going from making another buck to just becoming a better father, husband and child of God. All of this is null and void when you compare it to what has been given to us in relationships and friends and family. Your perspective changes in life when money is not an issue to you anymore. I often wonder how much longer I will be doing this. My real estate though is kicking a$$. I bought a place last friday, a 3 bed/2 bath 1400 sq ft place and paid 136,900 cash for it-they are selling the exact same thing I bought now for 169,900. It reminds me of the internet boom days all over again! its nothing but a game of hot potato is seems like!
    anyway, tomorrow should be a better day and I am looking forward to it.

  4. something in the stock universe is always moving to make money on. There are many stocks to choose from that you can trade that have volume enough to employ my stategy to you. Non trending or trending does not matter to me, nor does and up day on the markets or a down day. Most of the time I dont even know what the DOW closes at, I do however watch the futures and SPY'drs. But there is always something to trade and make money on. for now I will continue to concentrate on LU and when that game is over I will move on to another stock that is liquid and reap the benefits of that one as well.

  5. 571,000 !!!!!! wohooooooo

    ok, not really. Leonard's got me trying out E*Trade professional's Lightspeed (much better than retail E*Trade). So, I'm just paper trading this account for now. But oh, I can dream.

    The AAPL and NTRI positions are actual, though.

    I'm not sure what you mean by this. My point is that there is not enough 'paper' comming into the pit, and any orders, particularly smaller retail orders, are filled only when a local is able to make money arbing it off in the e-minis. If you do see the pit, you will notice people with wireless headsets who's only job is to relay e-mini orders to someone sitting in front of a terminal. The risk tolerance of the remaining locals has decreased significantly, and fewer and fewer are willing to 'take their foot off the bag'

    mschey;
    I think it's a good idea to keep track of your fills, and I certainly hope you've found a way to increase your performance.
    Continued Good Luck

  7. it will be a short 2 hours of trading today - up about +1k today, namely all from opening orders. did +1450 yesterday, so the daily consistency continues in equities. (sure wish i had mk's daily numbers) no currency trades for me the last 5 days.

  8. that demo is nice, isn't it? don't forget, it's 15 to 30 minutes behind the market. don't let your real longs tank in realtime while watching them rally on the demo.

  9. yes sir! I can't seem to get the "indexes" (yes I know it's grammatically incorrect) to show any indices. I tried $DJI, _DJI, and ^DJI...... ugh - i guess i'll go read the manual.

    P/L today unrealized is around $1500. That makes it about +$700 for the week, and $4100 for the month. I'll post a real blotter later tonight.
