I will try that again next week. Didn't know you had to paste. Anyways, +600.50 today, just traded a half-day.
ok i broke my rules, as i was going to sit today because of the jobs report. yet i had a few real nice setups in EUR, and JPY, so i took the trades. (+442.50 gross) mike, i agree working with futures and developing strategies, as tax savings is a great incentive. have a super weekend, patrick
Thanks, never knew that. Here's an update on my p&l for today since I'm taking a breather from trading. Before this picture I traded some news and thought it was just released but it was actually old and I got hammered and went negative 200 on the day but have since recovered. Anyway, happy trading to all... this market is sooooooooo slow atm
nice job, Krunk. i see your profitable trades consistently nail those 3 to 10 cent moves on nice volume. what do you look for as far as your setup (if you don't mind sharing your secret, that is)? thanks!
foolishly tried to fade the rally by scaling outta the Q's early, and holding the short SPY. i was looking for the profit-taking pullback that never came. oh well.. 8,700 shares traded.
I wish there was a secret... then I'd just let someone else trade my account and go to the bahamas Those are totals shares for the day btw. I'm not scalping size for small moves but rather doing the exact opposite. Basically I'm just trading on probability whether it's news driven or an indicator or a gut feel. If X does this 70% of the time Y does this, then this should happen. And I'm wrong quite often by being stubborn =) such as today when I had 9 losing trades in a row and went $-200 for the day.
Krunk, it seems like you are scalping 200 or so shares at a time in multiple positions simultaneously and taking .5 or .10. Are you using some kind of automation with CT or is it all manual?
large size, small movements, frequent trades, hmmmm excellent strategy, and of course, no one can argue with the results. pm me with the details, or the firm, would like to know more (if you are willing)
I did +83 today. EP was so incredibly slow today, and at one point stuck me for a 4 cent loss on a brutal quick crash. I moved to EMC and was getting great fills on BRUT for the last 1.5 hours. NASQ seemed to be reserved or something late in the day and it held the stock down for quite a while, allowing me to make a few quick no risk trades. So thats $201.xx for the week. Not exactly what i was going for, but it was 4 consistent up days and many more lessons learned. (ie. the level 2 NYB's are not what the specialist uses to decide where to open stocks, so dont short ECN's on upgrades if its above the highest bid!)
