AVR was sweet today. Unfourtunatly i dont have an amex entitlement and i didnt think it was worth the risk of playing around with everyone else who looked ultra quick. One guy i was watching must have done 5million+ shares in 100k lots over and over again, cool stuff for sure. I did -$9 today. Not exactly what i was going for but i managed a .70 gain on SU this morning and with tighter discipline i would have kept at least $40.
mnx I didn't know that there were imbalances on nasdaq stocks......are they similar to the nyse imbalances? Does the nasdaq diseminate them? thanks nbbo
I've had a dozen people ask me this, so I'll post it here. It's called the nasdaq opening and closing cross. The info is available but it costs $70 a month...... it was insane last friday, there was a 2 million share imbalance on INTC.... I wish I had 10X the buying power that day... later, mnx
mcd and azo rocked, cvx kept stealing money from my blotter... hope everyone else had a good day too. mnx
little better today. did not do much in EUR & JPY per Fed Meeting. I have found that my setups work better with the lack of reports. patrick
the numbers posted here are very impressive, the 20k days trading millions of shares in different issues simultaneously are just mind boggling. Plus you rarely have a losing day it seems or just a few hundreds! Are those all OO orders? Lescor, mnx, DiamondTrim and others, could you tell us what tools you use to trade these strategies?I read about computer generated trades, how does it work ? At which firms do you guys trade? (I suppose you all trade at prop firms ) what tools do you use to scalp equities nowadays? can you do it from home without the BP and automated trading systems a prop firm can offer? Is the openbook a essential tool of the scalper or you use more chart and tape reading ? Does anyone still scalp for quarters or half points or most go for pennies on 10k blocks ?
