anyone know where you can go and get higher leverage for a retail account with low low fees? im thinking if Corey is trading with 9 million I need to catch up! have a good weekend everyone and I am still waiting on you guys at GENESIS to call me for my retail account!!!!!!
nobody's giving you any leverage at $3 flat per trade. now if you want to pay .002 or more a share you can get leverage. also genesis hasn't called you because they're not going that low. i mean genesis can make more money on a piker trading 50k shares a day at .004 than giving you a flat rate
dude that was a joke my leverage is just fine and I do very well for myself. I was just commenting on lescors BP...
Yeah, I've got some pretty serious buying power. But you have to realize that while the number is very big, it does not translate to trading with that much exposure, not even close. The reason the firm needs to give me a lot is to enter opening orders. For example if I enter 120 stocks x 4000 shares each x $40 average share price x 2 (some firms count the buy and short order against bp, eventhough you can't be filled on both), that's $38M in bp needed just to enter the orders. Plus a guy needs wiggle room (more orders, more size, etc). It's more a way to get around the software so I don't have orders being rejected because I've run out of bp. On a real busy day, I might have $4 million in play with openings. BTW, I only keep about $20k in this account. Prop bp is a great thing if you know how to put it to good use.
im going to start posting my daily blotter. i day trade futures, my trading size is 1 contract atm. i had a good week last week, +$750. small loss today. -$25. just realised i missed a good trade because of a lagging quote, grrrrrr!
Gotta love those down days, money doesn't always like to work. I managed to smoke ALL of my gains for the month -11,253 net. Ouch! What is it with going out of town, then having a down day right afterward?
