  1. Not a bad day. Considering it was triple witching, the volume seemed a little lack lustre though. Oh well - very happy with my numbers today.

  2. Pretty good day, totally forgot it was witching day in the morning but nailed some crazy action in ORCL at the close for an extra 9 bills in a few trades.

  3. Good day today except for a nasty drop in CPST. Other than that cash all around and thanks INTC for the free 800 at the close.

  4. Wish I would have been trading ORCL at the close. Stopped trading it at 2pm because it decided that it was going to take back some of that money it gave me this week after churning and teasing me all day. -$150 for the day.

Guess it could be a lot worse. Still up $500 for the week. Can't wait until Monday! =)

  5. I decided to start posting my blotter from Monday onwards.

I have been trading professionally on and off for 4 years, with mixed success.

My psychological make-up is hardly appropriate for this business: I have a very low threshold for slipping into revenge-trading mode and I am often too lazy to work hard as well. On the positive side I don't give up easily.

My ultimate goal is too retire from this job, and rather today than tomorrow :p i hope i don't get slack for this from the in-house trading hobbyists lol.

last month i had a winning streak of about 15 days between 1000 and 5000, this month.. well.. let's say i am barely positive and i will trade very very small Monday, to see if i i can get the mojo back.

too much ranting, let's keep them blotters coming!

  6. +170 today. Embarassing result given the amount of money made in our branch. Selling too early lost me probably $500 in easy money, coupled with picking my ass when others were going hard.... sad result..

Easy, joeyata.....I'm still around, but said Aug. 31st was my last posting for P/L (1 full month). I DO live on an island, and elsewhere.......but I surely don't own one exclusively....yet :p .

If you're all craving an update, here's the rough scoop:

Kicked major ass first couple days in Sept, then got my ass handed back to me compliments of incorrect index value quotes from the exchange (Amex---go figure!)--that cost me 10.5k.

Had a lot of flat days, a couple down days, and a few lightweight up days. I've been creating new software and doing a great deal of research during the last couple weeks, too. The market isn't handing it out, so I'm doing other productive things in the meantime.

Net net, running only about 30% of the pace of last month.

Great job to EchoPatrick, lescor--killer openings guys!
Genisis guys: Very impressive volitility trades! Consistent too--keep it up! Szeven, ramping up and seems to be a trader to soon be contended with! DT.....take me for a ride in that new Ferrari :p ??-Great job everyone.

  10. I gotta say again how much I enjoy this thread. I think this is the kind of thing that everyone benefits from. Notice the same positive people keep posting and now attracting new people who are learning and getting better. That is what its all about.
