Heck, everyone should take some time off during the day and get the heck away from these stupid computers! My eyes glow in the dark from staring at them all day to many days. I only hate you(KIDDING!!!) because you haven't come to my house held my hand and trained me on how you trade until I have it down pat.
More power to everyone who makes a buck and can take the time to relax and enjoy life and family a bit more!
Gotta go, lunch time..need to go super cool a beer for lunch.

  4. MK Don't even bother with them. I spent half the summer wakeboarding during market hours trying to figure out how to do half the tricks that these kids are doing from birth. Pura Vida is all I have to say. We trade for the lifestyle. I don't function working for a living that is just not fun. I fun for a living and that is trading. I don't want to wakeboard when I'm 65 and retired....At 34 its already hard to pull good tricks I doubt it is going to get easier. Last year the most money I made in one day was while I was golfing and that was the most fun I had trading :)

  6. yeah you guys are right. It just makes me angry that I take time to help those that ask, and then these jokers tell me how wrong I am for the things I do. Even though its just a message board, it still hurts....... :(

  7. r-in, i agree with you, yet i dont understand those MK that give you grief because from what i see and how you trade, you NEED to take time off mid-day, to not only recharge to bring your "A" game back for the close, but simply not to grind and in the process wear yourself out - which over time kills traders that trade like you. i see your time off during the day totally different as it makes you the solid, consistent trader that you are.

Like Livermore said, "it's not the trading that makes me money, it's the sitting."

  9. sr,

if that is what you choose to believe ... that is fine but it is not the case. I have losing days, but they dont happen often. right now i am on a 2 month daily win streak. So far this year i have lost money 26 days with the largest being -4334.45, then -1102.00 and the rest for hundreds of dollars.

but you bring up a good point, and that is how our personalities guide us to how we trade. i dont have large daily swings in my profits and losses even though i know traders that do, and at month's end they are way ahead of me. and that is fine, and i dont worry about it.

Patrick doesn't post losing days because he doesn't have them! He's by far the most consistent trader I know. Amazing actually.

And to the doubters that want to call bullshit, I say too bad, so sad. Just cause you and those you know can't do it, don't mean it ain't being done.
