I think you never see a real trader on TV except when he has to testify before congress to save his business( Simmons, Narang ) or when he is prosecuted( Raj, Cohen soon )...LOL

  5. It is one thing to be a raging bear -- not unreasonable given circumstances -- it is totally different to act like it will all happen on such a predictable schedule that anyone with a few bucks in the bank can make their fortune in coming months with little risk.

No trader believes that. Not even a guy who whores out second rate trading advice can actually believe that. Yet what is amazing is how large a slice of the public thinks that learning to trade is quick and easy even if you have spent your entire life without ever engaging in anything that requires you to use your brain!

The British papers are making the absolute most of this- this idiot has likely done as much to damage the public's perception of the financial industry as the recession has - I am gob smacked at how stupid this person is:D

  7. Interesting follow-up interview from Forbes

    http://abcnews.go.com/Business/trader-prankster-alessio-rastanis-claims-bbc-stir/story?id=14616604

I smell b.s. from this guy.. probably a prank because he sounds very canned in this interview and didn't even know the correct tick size of the mini Dow which he supposedly specializes in.

Good job by the Forbes interviewer for asking some good, specific questions to flush this guy out.

    edit:

here is the other video Forbes thinks is him... another prank on BBC by Yes Men... could be him for sure... LOL
