I would like to know the classifications of those who never made it. Perhaps it really is true that not everyone can be taught to be a successful trader.
Have you checked out the Van Tharp article? He gets into that. Seems like the middle two dichotomies play the biggest role for success in trading, with 'NT' being the ideal.
Bump I took this test a long time ago and did a some research into it back then. I'm surprised by the results of the poll. NT's should only make up 10% of the population, but this poll shows they make up over 60% of the members on ET. I originally thought the personality types distribution would be more like the rest of the population. It does make sense because trading would appeal to a lot of NT's. Still, it's not conclusive as NT and NF are more likely to participate on internet forums. Especially Introverted ones. So it may be a little skewed. SJ's and SP's prefer to do stuff in the real world. Especially the Extroverted ones. Anyways, bumping for more data.
I test ENTJ if I've been in a cave for a couple days. After being around folks for 24/7, I test INTJ. Funny little observation over the past 25 years. e/i really don't apply much unless they are strong one way or the other.
