That's funny. I think a few people here are thinking that about you, Dave.

  3. Now calm down SuperDave. Don't get yourself so mad you have a
heart attack. You are just the type of trader that is fun to
crack jokes about. You give everyone lots of material! Thanks!

By the way, why not post another account statement so we
can see how you have been doing the last week or so...

    :D

As Superdave disappears under the snake oil from whence he came, dragged under by his weighty ego, clutching his holy traders grail - the crowd let out a cheer.

The snake oil busters have struck again.

    Toby

Ps. What are the odds that Superdave's wounded ego will drive him to surface for another rant?

    Who cares ?

anyone naieve enough to believe that sending a chart is proof of their sucessful trades gets my vote for sure - i might send off my chart of all my succesful trades of yesterday to my broker and ask him why i have not been credited

Very funny stuff, toby et al. This thread is becoming a virtual sea of one-sided witty repartee.

The ultimate irony is that the title for this thread says "On Topic", which is now so very far from the truth.

  9. cause the guy who posted early on this thread, jboyden or whatever has an 80% hit rate, and he does disclose his methodology to some extent. but dave's attitude can only cause resentment.

  10. In that vein...

I would like to be able to see members who agree to be "verified" as successful traders. (or unsuccessful/beginners for that matter.) It is difficult to have open, meaningful dialogue with people whom we have no assurance actually know what they are talking about.

I would be willing to submit my official trade logs as verification of my trading abilities. In return I would expect to see under each user's profile their "rating" or just "declined to participate."

    That will never happen
There is no practical fraud-proof way to verify trading success.

Maybe tax returns, but that seems unlikely."

I would still be willing to give it a shot if it were at least time-prohibitive to cheat. Even a verified trader's words are still relative. If some looser has enough time on their hands to cheat... oh well. At least it would raise the bar a little.

I just get frustrated when I see the potential for communication and community this site could offer, get ruined by people goofing around.
