I've been migrating to WTI crude oil futures. So haven't been posting much. Crude oil machine learning (me) is going well. Huge swings in dollar value.
Out of curiosity, why? I looked at a bunch of your trades and even plotted them. Unless I'm mistaken, you were showing close to 100% win rate. With such a high win rate, you could easily load up on contracts, and with the liquidity of ES, the sky would be the limit in terms of profits. Maybe there were some losing trades I didn't see in there? Maybe some of those trades had fairly significant drawdowns? Just asking because I didn't study your trades in too much detail.
No losing trades, I haven’t counted them but I think I’m at 60 or more trades, since started posting. I went on vacation for a big stretch and am coming back for the fall increase in activity. If a trade has a drawdown, I make a decision if the setup is still sound, I wait for the drawdown to get bigger or extend out before adding more. I only add at a level where averaging value is at the closest SR level. When trade comes into profit, I scratch the trade instead of looking to make more. CL has huge volatility compared to ES, so trying to get screen time in its tendencies. It overshoots on both sides. It looks to be ‘managed’ by cartels. Meaning price action stair steps in one direction.
