  1. We appreciate all of your suggestions. There have been many requests about MACD signal line cross thrus, this one has been on our radar and will be implemented when we add the other higher end alerts like trend line breaks and confirmations.

Any other suggestions are welcome you can email them to us directly from the site or post them here on Elite.

    Thanks!

  3. We had a user find an interesting minor bug in the alerts today.
If you configured an alert window and saved it as a shortcut to your desktop, when you close the window and bring it back up you lose the optional filer settings like Min and Max Price, Spread, and Volume filers.

The work around for this is simple. Save the window as an explorer fovorites instead of a shortcut. We are in the process of fixing the problem and will notify everyone through this board and email.

    Sincerely,
    Dan

  4. The bug that was written about in the previous post is now fixed.
Other than this announcement the end user would not even notice the FIX. All optional configurations now save in shortcut as well as favorites

  5. We have created an alert configuration specifically designed to spot program trading in stocks. Here is a link right to the newly configured alert http://www.trade-ideas.com/View.php?O=320000_7&WN=Program+Trade+Finder

This is a good one, take a look during market hours. Alternatively, you can just click start from the home page.

Based on your feedback we have also created a save option on your alert window. When you have configured an alert window to your liking just click save and then press ENTER or click OK. This will make it easier for you to add the alerts to your favorites. Remember you can save as many windows as you like.

We are grateful to you all for the feedback and more innovation is on the way. Enjoy the product.

    Sincerely,

  6. We have had many questions regarding these alerts. An important point to keep in mind is that this is a subset of the running up and running down alerts. This alert occurs only after a statistically significant period of consolidation. Sometimes the charts play tricks on the eyes. If you are interested in a detailed analysis take a look at this link http://www.trade-ideas.com/DOSA/ it has good examples of some of our magic :)

  7. We get many questions regarding setting alerts up with different resolutions and colors. This is just a reminder that you can completely customize the alerts by changing color schemes and fonts. You can do that by clicking on http://www.trade-ideas.com/SelectColors.php or http://www.trade-ideas.com/SelectFont.html

These setting should let you configure the alerts to any setting you are currently using.

    Sincerely,

    Dan

  9. Using two alert windows is one of the best ways to view market breadth as it relates to the stocks you are watching. The counter on the right keeps track of alerts that have occured since the windows were open. Here is attached picture to give a use case example of market breadth as well as demonstrate how the alerts work next to direct access software.

  10. Based on feedback from a very successful group of proprietary traders we have added a volume filter that lets you set a maximum for the number of shares a stock typically trades on any given day.

How is this used? Traders are now able to set the alerts to watch a very specific group of stocks for example those that trade between 100K and 400K shares per day. The end result is being able to filter for stock moves that are more fluid. Here is a sample alert with the above volume filters applied. Click on link to open the preconfigured alert window.
