Yes. It seems to me they are shorter in the afternoon, 5 to 10 minutes. But same pattern, you're right.

  3. ET99 - This thread has been very helpful for me. I didn't know anything about HSI before finding this thread. Well I knew that it traded odd hours that could potentially be interesting for me, that's it.

I'm now following it (watching, not trading) on a daily level. Analyzing the charts and drawing my trend lines, etc.

I want to thank you for sharing your methods and insights on this index, which I find useful for any index not just HSI. I think the fact that you are able to consistently pull some money out "after work" is amazing and I hope to do the same although for me it'll be "before work" because I'm in Europe.

I hope the thread will continue and I hope to participate once I get the hang of HSI (I'm new to futures in general so lots of learning going on).

It's rare to find a thread where people openly give like this. Thank you.

The more you give, the more you get. This is life.
I don't mind giving. I know even when I give everything, not everybody will get it. There is always people who think they are smarter than you are, they would rather fight you than walk with you. Anek, Bill and Jack proved that.

The method does not necessary work on other instruments without modification. There is a reason for it. I might start another thread one day to explain.

At the mean time, there is no substitution for screen time.

IB sim account is an exact duplicate of your real account. You can sim anything you are qualified and approved in the real account.

Hi ET99 and all HSI ET'ERS,

Here's a yesterday's chart of the actual HSI on which I trade CFD.
Living in Europe I can only trade the morning seesion if I can't find sleep, as it is 3.00am for us when HK opens.

I hope you'll see it clear on the chart, as this my first time to post a chart. My trade took place in the afternoon session. The first bar from left is where I got in trade, and the second one is where I got stopped. Just to see things continue as anticipated, as usual.

Actually, I had set my stop way too near : 43 points is nothing when HSI is moving. This is my main problem at this stage of my learning, and I welcome any suggestion.

Out of that, can anyone see another mistake ?

    Regards

  10. Just curious, since I have been tempted to try HSI, can you get accurate price and volume ( volume of transactions ) from the exchange and or broker data feed?
