Most Unpopular Bill In Three Decades David Nather: “This is why Senate Republicans are having so much trouble with the health care bill. The Republican health care effort is the most unpopular legislation in three decades — less popular than the Affordable Care Act when it was passed, the widely hated Troubled Asset Relief Program bank bailout bill in 2008, and even President Bill Clinton’s failed health reform effort in the 1990s. That’s the verdict from MIT’s Chris Warshaw, who compiled polling data from the Roper Center on major legislation Congress has passed since 1990.” “It’s rare for Congress to move ahead with legislation when the signs are this clear that the public doesn’t want it. Clinton’s health care plan never got a floor vote in the House or Senate, and neither did President George W. Bush’s plan to partially privatize Social Security.”
We both know that this is not the reason why the heath care bill is moving along so slowly. It should be the reason but it's not. The real reason is that it is not extreme enough a cut for some of the most right wing Republicans. Extremely troubling when politicians do not understand the definition of "civil servant" anymore.
Mitch McConnell's Mo Betta 'Care is set to be released Thursday morning. CBO is expected to score it early next week with a senate vote shortly thereafter. But check out the video with Kudlow: McConnell says revised version of health-care bill expected on Thursday "Give the tax credits to the people who need it!!" Is he dying and therefore trying to make peace with his god? I had to look out the window to see if the rapture was taking place. I just couldn't @*^(*()&ing believe what I was hearing.
“I’d say the only thing more difficult than peace between Israel and the Palestinians is health care. It’s like this narrow road that’s about a quarter of an inch wide. You get a couple here and you say, great, and then you find out you just lost four over here. Health care is tough.” — Trump, quoted by Axios.
