  6. i missed out on tuesday. If I did trade I probably would have made around 8 to 10K, ased on prior signals and the stocks I was trading. However I didn't trade so the point is moot. Yesterday and today combined I made just under 6K.

I caught myself feeling bad for missing out on that day, and then just told myself there is no such thing as missing out. There is ALWAYS another trading day, and there exist 1000s of ways to profit in the markets. I could have had the best day of December so far had I traded on the rate announcement day, but had planned to take Monday and Tuesday off. Life balance issues and I have enough or more than enough money. On my return trip from a tennis tournament out of state, I was beat. Monday seemed like a good day to take off, so I did.

I could say I missed out but I am following my trading plan which includes keeping myself rested, happy, and balanced. My results in trading are the result of how well I think, regardless of if I am long that day or short that day, so how I feel is the key to my success.

I think the title of this post is very telling about how much people could profit if their outlook was more flexible.

Has anyone else, besides me, sold short lately?

Just wondering. This board seems full of long only trader (investors). Not that that's bad, as long as you are making the kind of money you want to make.

Quite frankly I don't see how a long term investor has enough flexibility and leverage to make big dollars in this market. I take no overnights, and my returns are outstanding.

  10. If I wasn't such a good guy, and if I didn't believe you were glad, I would say you are an ass. But I didn't say that.
