Total Eclipse of a SuperMoon

Watched most of it, most of the event on Inet live feed from NASA (hey, it's the 21 st century, don't even have to go outside anymore)

This is a real picture of the moon, but it looks like something from Star Wars when Luke is gazing out from Alderan:



I spent a good hour looking through my binoculars at the different features of the moon. I looked at The Sea of Tranquility for signs of the Tycho Monolith, but did not see anything foreign.

 

that's an awe inspiring view like smthg out of a ray bradbury sci fi novel
