Has anyone else identified variances in their 2011 1099-B summary from ThinkorSwim and their records? I have been going back and forth with them since early January and they they are overstating my gains by over 50k. They have proven to me that they are extremely incompetent in rectifying the issue. I even set them a spread sheet of my gains using their data. Everything traded in the account is a 1256 contract and nothing was held over 2010 to 2011 or 2011 to 2012 so it should be a simple matter of following to get g/l: Ending Balance -Beginning Balance +Distributions -Interest Income Equals G/L Anyone have any suggestions. I am not sure what part of the 1099-B is reported to the IRS since I haven't had an issue with this in the past.
