Torture?

  1. When you guys come up with suggestions for the CIA as to how to handle the gentleman concerned it sounds to me as if you are trying to teach your grandmother to suck eggs.

BTW Optional, I cannot see that there would be much problem in gathering up 72 virgins. I am sure that at worst we can easily provide some old spinsters. :D

These terrorists think they're going straight to heaven if they get executed by the Great Satan. So it's really a win-win as far as they're concerned. If they don't get caught, they get to keep fighting for Allah; if they do get caught, they get executed and get to go to Paradise.

If we torture a few of these bastards, videotape it and run it on Al-Jazirah or something, maybe they'll think twice before they mastermind another attack.

Forget the CIA; turn these f*ers over to the Ku Klux Klan. I'm pretty sure they're not too fond of Muslims. Those guys need something constructive to do with their time anyway. Plus, you don't have to worry about the psychological impact that torturing has on the psyche of the torturers.

  6. I gotta say that in this case we have no choice but to torture the son of a bitch (there is a limit to my liberality)... we need to efficiently extract all conceivable information from him in order to prevent further attacks... we need to get into the mindset of Al-Quaeda, so mind drugs, pain application and psychological torture are all valid techniques... this guy is worse than Osama in my view... Osama may be the figurehead of Al-Quaeda, but this guy is the operational planner of its terrorism...

So I vote a resounding YES... torture the bastid, extract the information and then shoot him...

  7. "He who is merciful to the cruel, is destined to be cruel unto the merciful"

No mercy whatsoever for this filthy murderer. He had none for the thousands of innocent people he's murdered. Torturing him might prevent future terrorist attrocities, so go for it.

We have his 5 sons in custody, put a bullet in one of their heads, let's see if that loosens up the hairy monster's tounge a bit.

  8. This will definitely prove to be one of those times in history where we look back and can't believe how we succumbed to such mass fear and hysteria. I think that many Germans had a similar revelation sometime around 1946.

I think some people should think very long and hard about what they're saying, and remember how part of the reason we're acting like it's OK to invade Iraq is because of the state-sponsored torture that regularly goes on there, and the deliberate lack of civil rights afforded to the citizens by their government. As Americans, we like to believe that it is the responsibility of the government to protect its constituents, and we also like to believe that the State should NOT be permitted to skirt the Constitution when it believes that the end justifies the means.

The reason we have both morals and a U.S. Constitution (not to mention trading systems) is not so they can be changed willy-nilly when we decide that it's "OK" to do so, but because these dogmas are supposed to represent who we are and what we stand for. If our leaders lack the character to uphold these sacred beliefs and institutions, then it is up to us to do so.

  9. You have got to be kidding. Tell me for one minute that if you had the opportunity to save the life of one of your family members by torturing this piece of human excrement who has already murdered thousands that you wouldn't do so.

  10. Well said!!!

I could even place a friendly wager: After his interrogation he was "persuaded" to reveal strong links between al-queda and Iraq. News will be posted all over and repeated constantly. Soon full Iraq bombing will commence. We are already bombing now to prepare for the full bombing anyway.

GW, cut your losses sort, it's bad trade, take your stops and get out of this mess. Bring our people back. Turkey refused, take that 40-50 billion and help our bankrupt states. Obey the law!
