Nice try but no lollipop. You are rather new and missed the conversation what the picture is referring to, so your miss is excusable, and you can try again.

I am not speculating, the owner said so. They chose a few paid traders out of 400 candidates and at the end most of them lost money for them, thus they ended that salaried trader version.

The trade2win thread is pretty interesting, and although I give props to the owner for giving a good debate, their business was rather half baked at the beginning. For example they didn't even explain Phase 2 on their website for 8 or so months, and he was finally explaining it in a thread on an unrelated message board. Then back in December he was still throwing around new ideas, one of them they actually implemented. It looked like they are making up the rules as they go. Anyhow, this thread is not about them...

For anyone only interested in TST, read post #40 for an eye opener.

Holy hell is this thread ever derailing. Any chance you'll set up your own thread in Journals when you start your next combine, to get away from all this noise?

  4. The company is still operational, and accepts traders in their challenge, thus my contention that they haven't "failed" as a company. Ok, we disagree on this point, fair enough.

Yes, they realized the costs to acquire talent as they tried different recruiting techniques, and the Savius owner clearly stated the success rate was 2% out of 100 sample traders who took the challenge.

It's true the site was not well reviewed, however the owner admits that they lacked proper marketing. The MES Capital site is even worse, lol!

And you're right, this thread is not about them. However, Xela found the link and posted it here, and it was a good read.

By the way, the picture of the bear relates to "piggybacking" the trades, where a firm creates a black box to either take the other side to hedge their risk or take the same trades as the winning traders. If that answer is correct, then I'll take a yellow lollipop. :D

The little cub on the ground is Savius who hasn't figured out that in this business model the real money is in LEVERAGE, thus they take 50% of the profits. How do you leverage your trader? Ask TST cub, who is piggybacking Trader bear, and thus TST can afford to take only 20% of the profits because they are making a killing on leveraging certain qualifying traders.

  7. I would actually applaud TST if your theory was correct. It's the backer, not the live trader, who has to shoulder the burden of risk, so it makes sense to internally monetize it.

The Savius split according to their site is 70/30, which is better than the original 50%, however it's not as good as TST's 80/20 split.

The 1$ discount code is no longer in use.
So everyone who started a FTP after 3/25 will no longer get a discount code if a rule is violated.
Not sure yet if i will try again.
