What are you looking for? You want them to show you 100s of traders making 20k a week? Not going to happen as most traders fail with or without topstep. The whole most people dont take a decent cheque with TST so therefore its a scam argument is very dumb. Most people never earn from trading ever at all. Its like pro sports, most people never reach the required level.
1. Not drinking the cool aid, that is what I am looking for. I already stated a few months back, some average stats would be nice instead of random happy days posted. If I start a trading journal and I only post my winning days you would be calling me phony. 2. Don't I strike you as a down to Earth guy? 3. I hope you keep reading mine, who knows, you might learn something. Don't worry posting about your Combine though or the FTP, they are sort of irrelevant. What we could be interested in is your first 10 days as a Live trader and whenever you draw your first check. Everything else is poppycock. I wish you good luck and since I am a prediction kind of guy, I predict 3 months from now you won't be posting here. For one reason or other you will be disappointed in TST. For someone starting out, TST is ideal: I gave my brother my set of rules and he will eventually TST them. For 95 dollars the smallest combine: - free trading platform - real time quotes - constraints - objective data collection on trader performance Price this out by calling independent data vendors, for those that are testing out/backtesting trading plan. It works out to be around 95 dollars or more per month. But with TST you get the framework applied. And a chance to show yourself and others hey my trading plan works. TST is ideal for backtesting methodology. Chris
Great way to learn isn't it. Start on demo then $95pm in an accountable environment. I wish they were around when I started trading.
That's fine, but it doesn't cost much at all to find that out for oneself: simulation is much cheaper stand-alone (about $25/month for futures/stocks, free for Forex) and reveals everything. Of course I'm talking about people going in with a proper plan. The others just add noise which would make any aggregate statistics useless. The only valid metric would actually be a live-to-combine performance correlation: how many points per lot are live traders making in their first 10 live days, as a percentage of those which they made in their combine and especially of their LTP since that one is more conservative. The average of those ratios would be a fun statistic, though again those who just lucked out and thus fail quickly thereafter would skew the numbers down, so it would be of limited significance.
