  1. I would agree bakrob99- Live traders (trading their personal or getting backed ime) that are PRODUCING don't brag much or like to talk much about it.

Since the interview could be anonymous and basicly it would be more in your firm's interest than the trader's it wouldn't be bragging at all, more like providing inspirational information for future recruits, showing what can be achieved.

Looking at the Profiles under Funded traders, I don't really get inspiration. The very first lady on the list was already funded once last year, but hit the max. loss and was thrown back. Now she got recently funded again, but it took her a whole year. Hardly very inspirational.

As I told to Surf, passing the Combine and getting funded is just the entry ticket, the real success comes when one starts to pull paychecks from you guys...Looking at the numbers, about half who went Live never got any cash and failed at Live trading....

But must be a bad idea showing successful ones, my bad, forget about it...

Pekelo, in the last 10 years I've yet to see someone from Bright Trading do that. I'm just using his firm as an example since Donny Boy has been around the block the longest and has arguably more traders then any other firm. No trader profiles from him except to say he has guys doing well.

I think your idea is not bad. Back in the day at Worldco we use to have guys share their inspiration stories every wednesday after the close with the entire firm. Guy would stand up on a table and talk about eating ramon noodles and living with 6 guys in Brooklyn and he would talk about how he started pulling checks. But that was a different time. Today guys are very very reserved and most good traders shun any kind of attention if only for superstitious reasons.

Again, I agree it's a good idea but you can't make a guy do something he doesn't want to do.

Good idea for whom? Should I get funded, conducting a dog and pony show will not be high on my priority list.

I agree it's not a good idea for the trader. He has nothing to gain by it. It's good for Patak for publicity and good for Pekelo if he needs to be inspired.

  6. 1) You're wearing "gray glasses".
    2) No matter what anybody says or does, you'll find something or construe something in a pessimistic manner. :(

  7. Here you go Pekelo-- a successful snd inspirational story from a real trader other than myself, it's from 2004 but as real as it comes-- no elite trader TA crew double talk from the resident "teacherette" or wild claims. Just raw trading.

  10. Hi, I've been playing it conservative, trading part-time with mostly 1 lots, total net up just over $650 sim bucks after 11 trading days.

So far meeting the scouting parameters (greater than 50% profitable days, avg win greater than avg loss, and avg win duration greater than avg loss duration), however I'm behind on the profit objective (need to make $2,000).

No "home run" trades so far, however I can see the potential of trading futures vs. stocks. If you nail the entry and stick with a broader target, then you can pass this thing for sure. If you make any big mistakes, you're done.

One additonal note: There are more videos regarding the T4 which I had not seen before (see link below). There is a feature to eliminate the annoying trade order from staying highlighted after placing a trade, which really helps to prevent you from placing a wrong order type.
