Here we go, day 7. In the green by a hair after 7 days. My win rate is roughly 25% or so when I'm comparing the total 12 days in this combine. Just a touch over 3 to 1 winner/loser. The win rate needs to pull up to 33%, and the winner/loser should be closer to 5:1. Although it's a broken record, I need to take better set ups, the market isn't going away tomorrow. There will be opportunity.
Another terrible day. Back to the drawing board for sure. Minus 300 in the combine now. Stopped here 1 tick at LOD on last trade.
This market, here it is with my simple method, go with the yellows direction, try to enter at the low BB, obviously it's never as easy after the event, nice downtrend, pause then uptrend. Your trying to hard or just tired and not thinking straight either way, take the rest of the week off, go for a walk, think about it, work out what your doing wrong and fix it. I took the day off myself, shattered, stressed just no point at all!!
Not really gonna get to worked up. Just took too many trying catch a zone I liked. It happens, just a streak. We have ripped off that zone here. In to the next.
Pretty close to my second combine failure here. I'm down probably $300 total, but approaching my trailing drawdown limit. My high was 31k, but I'm down $1300 or so from that. So $200 left. Hopefully I can loosen up a little, knowing that it's likely I will not pass this go around.
It ain't over 'til it's over, lol! Remember the trailing max draw is an end of day calculation, not intraday, so that "$200 left" only applies if your end of day balance falls below that level. In any case, it's a learning/training experience so it's all good regardless. Just fine tune the strategy to avoid the less than optimal set ups. Some days the charts are an easy read, whereas on other days you end up fighting the chop. The key is to refrain from pulling the trigger, easier said than done.
Good to know about the drawdown. Yes, I'm certainly not taking the best set ups. It's a miracle I'm only down $300. If I could cut down half of these orders, and manage winners better I'd be in a much better spot. It's been a fun learning experience. It's a long road ahead to reach my goal for sure.
