No, that is folly. You don't know it is a trend day until it is all over, and you are forced to liquidate when the trend reverses and the day is opposite what you thought it would be. I.E. not a trend day. Scaling in is a very bad idea on an account like the one he is in. That's the trap, and you keep falling for it.
Nah, there are some tells which let you know if a trend is going to at least retest highs/lows. Plus, you only add if your first entry is great, not if it's shit.
So you are basically suggesting a trailing profit stop? Mreh, I dunno'. I guess that is all up to the individual trader's taste. Personally, I am an all-in all-out type of trader. I just hope Mr. Sauce can find his way without blowing the "funded" account he has.
I generally just take profit on big moves if I have more than 2 contracts. I'm not going to catch a full 500 point day ever, 200 points is fine by me.
