After the run we have seen the past two weeks, there is bound to be some selling. Thus there is no need to panic, as always it is always a good idea to lock in profits with stops or selling a part of the shares.

I estimate close to $65 Billion to have entered the market in the last 10 days.

We might see pull backs along the way, but we might be heading higher. Let us be prepared for the market to heard either way.

But surely the 6 month high/ lows is skewed because of the flash crash.

  5. Happy Sunday joe4422!

Do you mean from Thu to Fri?

When you keep seeing this metric everyday for a long period of time, you will form milestones which helps you decide which way the market is going and why not to panic even if the broader market has gone down.

I have this figure for the last two years for every single day.

Yesterday the 27.Sep.2010 was a very interesting day in the markets which re-emphasizes that we need to build matrices to be able to look deeper.

Though the over all market was down (-0.57%), the money flowed into the market. Some of my other indicators were positive too. Each pull back might see money sitting on the sidelines getting back in.
