The week started out on a sour note but things seemed to slowly and steady improve. Thursday was a good which confirmed that the breadth of the market was improving.

And wallah comes Fri which has brought down all the gains from the last 2-3 weeks. The volume was above average and a lot of money seems to have flowed outwards.

I do not believe in speculating but this is not looking good. Majority of my 25 indicators are signaling strong bearish symptoms.

We need buyers to step in this coming week.....

  2. I am very sorry gang for not posting. Let me assure I am still monitoring the markets everyday.

I am very busy planning my trip overseas.

On accordance with my week-end post, I am 100% cash now, no GOLD or short positions!

    I know nothing about gold.

We have to wait for things to turn around......

    Cheers!

  3. Greetings!

    A nice green day here.

In the past I would have gone back into the market on such a move. But this time around we need to see a few such positive days for us to make sure that the BULL cycle has begun.

It is very very difficult to not jump in and stay on the sidelines. You can begin to nibble here say may be 5% of your portfolio just to stay in the loop.

But we are going to play wise here and wait for a strong confirmation. If this is indeed, a start to a bull cycle we will have plenty of opportunities.

    Happy Waiting!

Now get away from that DAAM computer and go enjoy the world around you...I am going for a bike ride in a few...

  5. Things seem to be looking bullish again.

I have made bullish moves in my retirement account. But being a little cautious here to wait for confirmation.

My next post will be from Asia!

    Cheers!

  6. Greetings Gang!

Just came back from a fabulous trip to Asia, no signs what so ever of recession in that part of the world.

Looks like nothing much has happened here since I left.

I was able to get in long at the right time, but was not able to hold on to my gains due to the traveling.

But I am back to home base and raring to go.

  7. The last three days saw some of the lowest trading volume of the year. In fact yesterday(16.Aug) was the lowest of the year so far.

Looks like a lot of money is on the sidelines waiting for the market to begin a trend. I have read time and again that Sept is the lowest trading month of the year. Are we setting up for that ritual?

One of the most difficult things to do is "NOT TO TRADE". So dear folks do not force a trade. This is the time to conserve capital.

I am mostly in cash, but am still holding a few long positions.

    Cheers!

  8. A good day for the bulls. Definitely saw money coming into the market.

I am not impressed with the daily trading volume though.

The market breadth seems to be improving slowly:

  9. Hello!

Let us not draw conclusions either way. Still a lot of uncertainty in the market.

But that also means we don't take any extreme measures or long term views. Look for quick swing trades and cut your losses early, way early.

We need to have a few days like the day(16.Aug) before for the bulls to show their presence.

    Cheers!
