My TYH buy on 04.Feb.2010 is looking very good right here. We need a strong close today, towards the high of the day. Also money coming in will be a good sign that we go higher from here. I will look to add to my positions at the end of day.
Market View - 12.Feb.2010 Buy Aggressively Buy Cautiously Hold Sell Cautiously Sell Aggressively (the highlighted option is my current sentiment) The volume was average yesterday. I would like to see more money flow in. But we had a good close. I am very comfortable making buys here, currently I am invested 66% of my portfolio. Do not rush into stocks/ETFs. We have to wait for trends to establish. To be on the safer side my major stake is in QLD.
Happy Sunday! Please take a look at the attached image. I also suggest you read this post. Read it one more time, if already have. Let us revisit this idea AGAIN. On 04.Feb.2010, I checked for this statistic near the close of the day. The selling pressure was very high and the values were getting bullish(26%). So I jumped in. This number has been steadily rising which tells us the market is gaining bullish strength. I was NOT 100% right, the market actually bottomed out a couple days later...this is trend that has been reoccurring, I need to investigate this some more, where the market actually bottoms out after selling exhaustion. Never the less, it is always easier to look back, but on that very day at 3:55 PM I had to make a call in 5 min, I did and it turned out in my favor. This was not a FLUKE, it was a calculated risk, where we got the probability in or favor.

Market View - 17.Feb.2010 Buy Aggressively Buy Cautiously Hold Sell Cautiously Sell Aggressively (the highlighted option is my current sentiment) Strong up day yesterday. The market breadth has tremendously improved from a few days ago. I would have liked to see more volume and more money flowing in. MY ETF Watch List for Wed, 17.Feb.2010 is the same as yesterday. I got an email inquiry about entering the market on a day like yesterday when the market is running wild. To answer that question, I try not to pay too much attention to daily up and downs, when I am aware of the overall market scenario I am comfortable entering the market even on a day like yesterday. But always remember to scale in. Buy 1/3 rd of your allocated capital at a time. Note to myself: Make a checklist post this week-end...

I am NOT going to react...the long term trend is bullish....
