Top IRS official will invoke the 5th amendment

  1. Why were there not any left-wing groups targeted? The public isn't buying it, and can smell lying and a coverup. Anyone watching the testimony had to be appalled by the arrogance, as if they are accountable to no one. Public Servants? Lol.

  2. My best guess is it's political and it doesn't go to the president. I can't imagine him doing something that stupid and ineffective, but some real smart and powerful men in the past have made much larger mistakes so I know it is possible. If you really believe in the smarts of guys like Cruz and the doggedness of the tea party crowd then you know most of the facts will come out.

So, you are admitting to biased ignorance on political topics. I understand.

Just don't expect to report your biased untruths here without one of us ripping you a new asshole. :D

Ricter, that worm in your head that has been eating your brain must have had a bunch of friends over for dinner last night. :D

That's far more clever than what I came up with. I was simply going to ask budcampbell if there were any left wing political organizations that had applied for "Social Welfare Agency Status?" You did better!

The more that we know, the less I think it was even political. I think it was just the IRS saying WTF!, when a 527 group asked to be treated, for tax purposes, as a "social welfare agency". (There was a Bush appointee heading up the IRS at the time this fiasco got started.)

And of course you're right. (I made the same point earlier.) Obama is not going to go anywhere near the IRS in that way, and anyone on the White house staff that did (if they did, and I doubt it) will get fired post haste.
