Out of curiosity I called my buddy who swore to never eject again. He said he was going through 10000 ft and wasn't sure where his speed was at that point. He was sure he was still over 350kts, but not positive as things were going bad real fast. So quite a difference in altitude, and he agreed with you that at a much higher altitude and assuming the plane wasn't coming apart catastrophically which would add other issues, it probably was fairly realistic, but he wouldn't have been unscathed.
The video at 5 mins shows a table with height and density. At 80 000 feet it was 2.8 compared to 101 kPA at sea level, so the difference is 1 to 35. On Twitter there are 5500 responses to that tweet, but I don't have an account so I can't read those. On Reddit: www.reddit.com/r/NonCredibleDefense/comments/y0uhtt/neil_degrasse_tyson_says_top_gun_stunt_would/ The guy who did it: https://nationalinterest.org/blog/b...is-sr-71-spy-plane-and-fell-78000-feet-181117 TL;DR: NDT is a narcissistic asshat.
