Maybe we can trade the good doctor for Obama. We need an honest doctor willing to speak up...and they apparently need some "change".
Given that a) a public option was as much as was ever on the table, which was already far less in terms of gov involvement than Canada, and b) even this is now being ceded, it would appear, what, exactly, is the relevance to what is actually being proposed here in the US? Obviously, none. If the public option does come off the table, even comparisons to Medicare and its operation would be invalid. The co-ops now being proposed are roughly analogous to credit unions in the financial arena. Are you guys going to seriously propose that this, too, is comparable to Canada?
