I was just looking for some general feedback on what you guys believe are the must read trading books, and if you can say in what way the book helped out your trading. Thanks
If you're just starting out, I recommend "The Market Maker's Edge" by Lukeman: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...f=sr_1_1/103-1609179-1444637?v=glance&s=books It has simple rules for getting in and out of positions that should keep you out of trouble and enable you to survive until you find your niche. Good luck!
The Boy Plunger, Great Bear, Cotton King, ala Jessie Livermore. Read "Reminiscences of a Stock Operator" to begin your journey, whether you are day trading or trading on a longer time frame. There are so many things that you must understand that go on during and after market hours -- this book will give you a good basis for everything you will soak up in the future. My favorite piece of advice: "Use a system and don't deviate from it". Good luck!
The Science of Enlightenment by Shinzen Young: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...103-9766430-1833451?v=glance&s=books&n=507846
I like this thread cause I am getting more active in trading and reading more and more. Nice to see what people like and dislike.
This is a great link I found (I think here at ET): http://www.trading-naked.com/Articles_and_Reprints.htm Does anyone have a link to "Pit Bull" (Marty Schwartz) in pdf? Thanks, Mike
Trading & Exchanges - Market Microstructure For Practitioners by Larry Harris. Not about trading. It's a textbook that IB gave away free to its customers awhile back. Geo.
