I'm going to get in touch with Darren...So close to me (compared to New York of Chi-town) and see whats offered in the prop business.
most of the positions i've seen wanted experience. maybe i'm just not looking in the right places. trading should work out well. batting over 70% and making 3%+ a day as i continue to refine my system. missed some big moves though, which hurt.
That interview is about 5 years old. It would be interesting to know how pairs traders at Bright are doing though. Its been less volatile, so I would think commissions would be eating into CPS a lot more than they used to...
Yes the game has changed a bit. Intraday trades in pairs are mostly directional and a lot less fading, although there's still many good fade setups over a few days (swing trading) and longer-term horizons. Research is more important than ever.
Well, in that 5 years Darren has grown his personal group to over 20 traders. And, yes, one of our most successful groups for the last few years. With our new rates, and a relatively decent trading volume, commissions are not as big a factor as previously. All the best, Don
lately elite trader seems to be used as promotional platform by mr don for bright trading I came here to read generic things about the industry or may be few comparions..and not who traded bright and who was brighter in th context of bright n what are new schemes going on in bright...don why don you put these things on your website... where are the investigators? Disclaimer: I am not associated with bright or any other prop firm. But a regular visitor to elite trader.
You caught me on a bad week...was traveling, and had several posts to reply to it seems. And, don't worry about the investigators, they (and I) keep copies of everything posted here....trust me, you'll find most of my stuff to be binine comparatively. All the best, Don
It would be nice to be part of this list someday...but I don't think it'll come true anyway. I'm already 29 and I just started trading. Tsk, too bad.
couldn't find any profitable traders to write about? or printed too many lies? or both? Advice to the editor: readers like train wrecks, so publish a new magazine titled: Losing Traders Monthly. I bet it will be so popular that you'll have to publish it weekly or daily. In that case, you just have to change the title to Weekly Losers! or Daily Losers! The centerfold will be "The Biggest Loser of the Month or Week or Day!" better if they are naked.
