  1. Well said. This is the only game in town where your edumication doesn't mean shit. All it matters is can you steal my money away from me before I bankrupt your ass.

  2. some replies here are so "amazing". please don't give a wrong impression that "successful traders" belong to the low-class society whose language is as worst as drugs dealers.

  3. Actually I have to disagree with you there. Imo trading tends to lead itself to the lower class type better than the upper class. The lower class doesn't mind taking somebody for absolutely everything they have and putting it in their pocket. They don't mind cutting another guy's throat so that they can live to fight another day. The upper class would think that doing something like that is crazy and savage. Well to be honest this is a crazy and savage business.

Thats why I don't think actual trading (notice how I didn't say investing) lends itself well to either the higher class or the highly educated because they have been trained all their life to do things differently then the street fighters who have had to continually fight, scratch and claw their way to the top.

    Just my observations

  4. i just don't see the need to use offensive language. i mean, its trading not pimping jobs.

also, if one is so successful, why there is a need to be so "rude" & offensive.

there is no need for that.
traders are not drug dealers nor pimps....why talk like one?
    lolz~

if one is so successful in trading then feel free to go & take money from the market. there are plenty of money in the market for them, i mean trillions of dollars out there for them to take.
no need to be so hostile here. what is for?

  6. ^^ i agree.
If you have an MBA, working for a prop firm is a waste of time because you can be an investment banker with base salary of $150,000 per year. Remember First NY Securities gives you only $55,000 base salary. (Though I still think they are the best prop firm in Wall ST). The rest or most are just retail prop firms that Wall St has no respect for.

  7. Congratulations on obtaining your MBA degree. I'm sure you quickly came to realize the true value of that sheet of paper you have framed hanging on your wall.

If you haven't, it's the network.

I've sought advice about entering a career as a trader on these boards as well. I've come to the conclusion the best course of action is to gain experience trading. Trade your own account, become profitable. Use your networks and start your own hedge fund.

  8. Hahaha! how true this is. On really good days I might even skip the pj's and go cammando style.

When people ask me about trading I say, can you skip a shower in the morning and be ok? Are you comfortable being naked? Do you enjoy watching internet porn? If the answer's are all yes then you have a shot being a trader.
