Too much education.

  1. I always see people wanting MORE money spent on education. Why? People say so they can have good jobs. But who is going to do the little jobs? If everyone has a masters degree, who is going to serve burgers? Who is going to wait tables? In theory this "no child left behind" sounds like a good idea, but when you get down to it...is it? Will these children be happier if they have higher paying more stressful jobs? Lets see. Here are two videos. The first one is of children who are very very poor. They really have nothing. No TVs, no xboxs at home, they have nothing really. The second one is a teen who would be considered educated by the kids in the first video(safe to assume this kid goes to school every day since he is american). That teen has a TV in his room(not sure if he has a game system or not but being a teen he probably does), probably eats any time of day he wants. Has a nice bed, furniture, a house with air-con and probably gets a nice allowance from his parents every week.
So why are our rich children unhappy and the poor children in the 3rd world happy? Because we have been educated to "want more" Parents always say they "want more" for thier kids than they had. As if more stuff makes you happy.

  2. I've been poor. Very, very poor. Where I didn't even get enough to eat. I wasn't happy.

  3. peilthetraveler is all about promoting religion so yes in that case less education is better. statistics all show the less educated you are the more religious you are.

How about just education so people can read and vote... that was the original intent in the US... they had private schools up until about the 1890's or something like that.. and it's all been down hill since. John Dewey, the "father of modern education" thought that every kid that came to school with a belief in God was sick and needed to have it educated out of him.. and literacy rates were astoundingly high but now, forget it.. it's like their goals are to kill off religion and that is way more important than literacy, kids might read a Bible and actually learn things...

  6. yea look what you learned from the bible. you learned that the earth is 6000 years old, science is bunk, prayer is all you need for healing, there is a devil out there trying to get you.

  7. Stop making stuff up. Chinese people are less educated and not religious. Theres a billion people right there you can shove in your made up statistics.

Looks like a future liberal democrat that just found out all those government entitlements weren't really "free" after all.

  9. By all means spend more money on education to ensure something like this never happens again:
