Too general..but best commodity to day trade

    Yes, I see chop during intraday, because I want the intraday swing.

    So what I do is, after two consecutive losses I stop trading for the day.

    This mean to me, market ready to chop or I do not know market direction. Stop trading or get chopped up and get headache

    Back in “the day”, when I first began trading I started scalping 30Year Bonds with a simple rules set for entering and exiting a position. Later, I found myself screen Trading the Eurex market which was a new and exciting thing in Chicago.

    I would frequently not trade in the afternoons - I didn’t want to squander away my morning’s profits in the “chop”. I would turn off the machine, head out, and go hit golf balls or catch a Cubs game.

    I would also not trade, or very sparingly trade small lots, during the month of December. Reason being,most all commercials closed their fiscal year at the end of November. And without sustained Commercial order flows - you get chop. It’s just Specs versus Specs and I wanted no part of that.

    There is no shame in being selective about when and how you expose yourself to the market.
