Been with a lot of relatives the last week.Been getting the texts from multiple family members saying they covid and get myself tested. I feel fine and passed two home covid tests the last 2 days.Natural immunity working for me as it did for 2 years after getting it the first time. Was really worried because my mom got it.She has the original vax and 1 booster.Other than slight body aches shes fine.I was really worried because I know or know of alot of people in her age ranged who died when covid first came out and prior to the vax. My opinion is pretty much the same.If your over 45-50 get the vax.The benefit outweighs possible risk. If under 45-50 the vax might not outweigh long term risk that is not known yet.
Do you think you'll be fine since you have ability to generate Kung Flu antibodies from previous infection from other strains?
I think Im safe for 2 years since I last had it,like I was the first time.If I was going to get it I would have it as I was in close contact with multiple friends and family members who have it now.
My household just went through a week-long upper-respiratory nightmare. Started with a slight cough, became a fever over a couple days, etc. 2 days before X-Mas, 1 member got sick, then next day another, then next day another. We all tested negative for COVID at that point. Finally, starting yesterday, our coughing and horking chests have become just "lingering" coughs. Fevers are gone, feelings of malaise are gone... We do not know if it was possibly flu or RSV, or something totally unknown. But we know it was not COVID, as we all tested negative for that. So do not get too cocky on what you think you might be immune to for 2 years. Your next illness might come from left-field.
I'm 33 and plan to get my 2nd booster tomorrow. Got a flight coming up and tend to get sick flying in the winter. With hundreds of millions vaccinated I don't see much risk in it.
