Not every person recognized as a Founder was brilliant. The Bill of Rights has not changed but the Constitution and electoral college certainly has. Also, the government contrived was drawn from precedent, mainly the English system. As this discussion is about the electoral college, it’s especially important to note that only large property owners were allowed to vote in presidential elections at the nation’s beginning. You have to understand the electoral college was originally a tool to keep only the wealthiest Americans choosing the president. The college was originally supposed to be a deliberative effort. As our nation evolved and voting rights expanded the electoral college was a second thought for many, many years, as the popular vote regularly aligned with the electoral college. We are now in a time in our history where one party will most likely not win the popular vote in most presidential elections going forward as it’s a real problem for governance. Republicans now have to govern as a minority over a majority. That will eventually lead to discontent.
Black voters choose democrat nominees. You right wingers say these things out of malice and complete ignorance. If you don’t understand the references to slavery and plantations are offensive to people then you’re a moron.
"Enslaving the populace to the control and benefit of the rulers"... is the objective of ALL LEFTISM, IN ALL OF ITS FORMS AND IN ALL COUNTRIES.... Dictators, Nazism, Fascism, Communism, Progressiveism, Socialism, American DemoCraps too... some more extreme than others but still "peas of the same pod".
nice try but this is the new US Slavery. --Really not that new, but Democrats pressure minorities into voting for them by using scare tactics against their plight if Republicans or Conservatives are in office. It's a big lie and is a continuation of The Democrat Party's embrace of racism and slavery.
It's painful to watch someone who knows nothing of US History try and show off their "knowledge". The above posting is a joke.
Too bad people in other countries haven't studied American history so they could ask of their leaders, "why can't we have that here"?
