I assume that he was speaking about the 2000 election when he had sought The Reform Party nomination, so I can understand his disappointment about that experience. Other than that, I fail to see any point that you are making here as I am sure he understands more about the process now. So, your posting of these tweets is meaningless. I will agree with one thing stated----The EC is definitely a disaster for a democracy----but we don't live in a democracy, we live in a republic and it's a great thing for a republic.
No,it was 2012 when the race was called for Obama after he had won key states but Romney was still leading in the popular vote
No,like most of his supporters he is a fucking hypocrite and spoke the truth when he thought the candidate he supported had lost the race but got the most votes.
So? Ask him today. He still doesn’t much like the electoral college. But unlike Hillary he knew it was his path to victory. Ask Trumpy to win the popular vote and he’s gonna do it.
very understandable then from a non-politician that was very anti-Obama. You need to get over yourself. Trump engages in bombast and hyperbole. Nothing wrong with that.
The Founders were BRILLIANT! America is (well, was) great because of the Constitution, BOR, and Electoral College.... unlike anything ever known throughout history... it was the famed "America fired the shot heard around the world". People on-board with the "spirit of America" understand and believe in this. Those who are greedy and consumed with power-lust don't like it.... mostly because "the American way" is to be free, to work, achieve, and have based upon your own merits. The Left wants power (even tyrannical or dictatorial power) and control, REGARDLESS, and tries to buy it promising to take from those who earn and give to those who don't in exchange for their vote. And if that doesn't work, destroy everything and start over with them at the wheel. (Which is what ANTIFA and this impeachment circus is all about.)
Agreed----in addition, the power that they seek is also over groups of people like Blacks. This is how they continue to be the party of racism. They do nothing for Blacks or other groups, yet project that they are the only ones that can help them. This is the new US slavery.
The erudite Charles Barkley has said, "poor blacks have been voting Democrat for 60 years, and they're still poor".
